Make sure you’re changing the burn folder to point to the correct location for the second project.

Please report that directly to Sony. There are few effects that are having problems in 6.0a so you need to make sure they know, and can duplicate, this one.

I would shrink the pictures instead. Select ALL of the pictures and press “G”. Now hold down the CTRL key and “resize” the last image so that it ends with the song. Because they are grouped, ALL of the images will be shrunk by the same amount. Then the montage will be the same length as the song.

Yes, that is one of the techniques mentioned in the article. Unfortunately it takes a lot of time to manually make those adjustments manually. That’s where Excalibur comes in handy – it automates the process to help make your editing faster. After using it for the last two years, I’d HATE to go back to the old manual process.

If the clock is NOT set, then “enable scene detection” CANNOT work. It’s that simple. If everything worked “fine til now” then the clock was set in the camera in which the tapes were recorded.
To use advanced capture, just type in the beginning and ending capture times and name the clip. Repeat this multiple times if you wish to capture multiple sections. I do have information related to this spelled out in one of the early issues of my newsletter (link below my name) where I talk about capturing.

There are TONS of audio tools. Just adjust the volume on the track header to raise or lower the entire track. Add a volume envelope to selectively raise or lower volume throughout the project. Use the Master volume to raise or lower the volume of the entire project. Send one or more audio tracks to an audio bus and adjust the levels on the bus.
To see the volumes separately, you *could* make one left only and the other right only and then they would be split on the master meter. However, a better way would probably be to send them to separate busses and each bus can display the volume in the master volume area.

First, go back and look at the CAMERA. Is the clock set on the camera? If no, that’s your problem and you’ll need to use “advanced capture” if you want capture different segments as different files.

You’re better off having everything on the timeline. Otherwise you’re going to have a BIG sync issue. For doing multi-cam work, take a look at Vol 1 Issue #9 of my newsletter (link below my name). It lists four different methods of doing multi-cam work.
