No, it is not 1996 and it is not poorly written code. Although Steve likes to badmouth Titler Pro, it is really a very stable product in the majority of situations. The best way to get help with Titler Pro 2 running on Vegas Pro 12 is to start a help ticket at NewBluefx.

A couple things that can help:
    1. Make sure your video driver is up to date.
    2. Reduce the “Dynamic RAM Preview” in Vegas to a very small number.

Why not? I have Vegas Pro 8.1, 9, 10, 11, and 12 installed on one machine. There’s no real need to uninstall. I actually do testing in all of those versions.

Titler Pro 2 should work fine if Titler Pro 1 is working. If you have issues with either, please contact NewBlueFX for assistance. New features found in 2.0:

    • Custom 3D Bevels – Create a unique bevel on any style layer to maximize 3D impact
    • Wide angle – Adjust the camera lens of the scene for extreme or subtle perspective
    • Video as texture – Apply video as a texture to any style layer or shape for dynamic compositions
    • Custom texture position – Now adjust the position, scale and size of any image or video texture
    • True motion blur – Output smooth, realistic motion titles at the time of render
    • Multiple light sources – Create the perfect mood and space for your titles with lighting control
    • Light Keyframing – Manipulate three different kinds of lights in space with keyframes
    • Material shine control – Dial in the perfect amount of surface shine for each style layer
    • New multi-point shape – Design stars, bursts and radial objects with this new vector shape
    • EPS file support – Import vector files and extrude them for 3D logos and custom objects
    • Text-to-text transitions – Now use any NewBlue transition to morph one text into another using transitions between paragraphs

All NewBlue retail products are available in both 32-bit and 64-bit and will work in Vegas Pro 12.

Set the start bar to auto hide. It’s probably hidden under the start bar.

Yes, it is best to keep the Titler Pro window on the main monitor. I’ve seen this reported using AMD/ATI cards. I have not seen this issue reported with nVidia cards.

Well, Steve, I’ve been using Titler Pro for over a year now and it has been VERY STABLE. NewBlue has been working to resolve issues that have been reported but a lot of issues are really machine specific. With the wide variety of suppliers and available options – not all machines are equal. It’s those unequal machines we’re trying to resolve issues on now. For most machines – with current drivers – it’s working fine.

To just give a broad stroke and say it is “not stable” is totally unfair and untrue.

Based on the images you sent to NewBlue, you have a title set at 720×480 project in a 1920×1080 project.
