I got the blues, new blue 2 causes blue screen
is it really 2012 or are we really in 1998? Because i ahven’t seen such a mess as this with computers since then.
New Blue seems to conatin very poorly written code. My fisrt experience was with version 1 and pro 11; crash after crash after crash.
version 12 and 2 are no better. both sony and new blue have had well over a year to solve their problems and haven’t. I bought pro 12 and new blue 2 hoping for more stability but such is not the case. I remember Cubase went through this mess as well in the early 2000s but have since sorted it out.
ok what to do. I have seen no improvement or any new templates in version 2 of new blue and see no reason to upgrade from the free version to the $100 version of 2. I am going to return the product. Its useless and I find myself rebooting both computer and software for too many hours instead of meeting drop dead deadlines with my show.
Sony seems to be dropping the ball . By version 12 they should be offering a product that is pretty much flawless with the odd bump and hicup. They have not. To say nothing of how they hosaed me for 50 bucks when I updated through my Sony account online and not through their special offer email. Is adobe any better. can’t afford the time to waste with Vegas anymnore. all comments welcome

No, Sony has not dropped the ball with the implementation
of Vegas 12, they dropped it for Vegas 11, but they are
on the right track where Vegas 12 is concerned and will get better.
Dont blame Vegas because Newblue titler is causing crashes,
open a help ticket with NewblueFX, they will respond to you.Steve Rhoden

No, it is not 1996 and it is not poorly written code. Although Steve likes to badmouth Titler Pro, it is really a very stable product in the majority of situations. The best way to get help with Titler Pro 2 running on Vegas Pro 12 is to start a help ticket at NewBluefx.
A couple things that can help:
1. Make sure your video driver is up to date.
2. Reduce the “Dynamic RAM Preview” in Vegas to a very small number.Edward Troxel

But since you brought it up, i badmouth it because its unstable

NewBlue fixed my problem. They told me to uninstall the titler program.
Reboot the computer. After restarting the computer. First install the titler program.. Then start Vegas.. It appears that once Vegas has been opened some part of it always stays active even if it shut down. This gives you a bad NewBlue install.. Try this. It worked for me and solved my problem. -

About a month ago.. I applied the same steps when I bought titlerpro2
and it does not seem to have any problems.. -

Steve, you can say what you want but I still disagree with you. Yes, there are some people that are having an issue but I still stand behind the statement that the majority of people are not having issues.

I still find it very strange that the NewBlue site still does not mention version 2. That was the main reason I did not upgrade NewBlue with my SVP 12 upgrade.

Version 2.0 will be on the website soon. Some testing on other NLE’s needs to be completed before it is released to everyone and the web updates are in the process of being made.
