You might want to manually batch capture those 3 sections. Then you can replace the original clips with manually captured clips.

I was not able to quickly duplicate that. Can you give step-by-step instructions to duplicate?

DVDA 3 animates thumbnails just fine. I’ve done it several times. I just placed a few pieces of media on the timline, clicked each one separately changing the “Style” in the Media category to “Animated”. I then hit preview and it was animated as expected.

Did you happen to save your sfvidcap file? If yes, then you can easily use that to recapture the peices. You mention that even in the original VEG file that everything was marked as needing to be recaptured. Can you go back to that original VEG file again?

As for your problems capturing, are you using the same device you originally used for capturing. Do the tapes playback OK in that device?

If you encode to MPEG2 from Vegas, you will get an MPEG2 stream. I’ve not heard of anything that does what you are saying.

I use that chart as the AVERAGE. The max and min values I use are 8,000,000 and 2,000,000. I also use 2-pass VBR.

Wow, I actually LIKE the way it works. Just remember that the two resizing methods work backwards to each other. With Track Motion, when you make the “F” window smaller, the image will also get smaller. With Pan/Crop, making the “F” window smaller makes the image LARGER (i.e. you zoom in on a smaller section of the video).
