Pick one of the DVD Architect presets. On the second tab, don’t change ANYTHING except the average bitrate and make that appropriate for the length of your video (there’s a bitrate chart in Vol 1 #7 of my newsletter). If you want the mpeg2 file to include audio, check that box on the audio tab.
Leave all the i-frame, b-frames, field-order, etc… alone!

No. Pick one of the DVDA presets as a starting point. For NTSC, it would be 720×480. The numbers are different for other formats but never as low as 352×240.
If you don’t have DVD Architect, you will have to “register” the MPEG2 encoder (it comes WITH Vegas but registers separately if you don’t have DVDA). You will NOT be able to do AC3 without DVDA, though.

You simply want to move the contents of ONE track to another position? Right-click the first event on that track you wish to move, choose “Select events to end”, and then move the first event to the new location. All other events on that track will move accordingly.

Vegas will not make DVD’s – That’s the job of DVD Architect.
If you render to MPEG2 in Vegas (and use the proper bitrate) then DVD Architect will NOT re-render the file. Check out Vol 1 #7 of my newsletter for details.

Yes, that is an unfortunate side effect. Here’s a possible workaround for you:
1) Run Extract Good Clips ONLY on the video.
2) Select all the extracted Video clips
3) Run “Restore Missing A/V” on the Repair/Maint tab.Edward Troxel

Take a look at vol 1 #7 of my newsletter. It discusses the process of going to DVD.
In short, a DVD is MPEG2. If you’re using DVDA to author the DVD, you should give it either an MPEG2 file (preferably with AC3 audio) or a DV-AVI file.

Well the steps are really simple. First of all, add the generated media, make sure it’s the correct length and make sure the “Length” field on the generated media screen matches the length on the timeline. After that:
1) Go to the Positioning tab
2) On the first keyframe, change the “Y” position so that it is at the bottom of the screen.
3) Still on the first keyframe, change the “X” position so that the first letter is just off the right edge of the screen.
4) Add a new keyframe at the end of the generated media timeline
5) Change the “X” position on the second keyframe so that the last letter is just off the left edge of the screen.Play it back and it will scroll from right to left across the screen.
