Yeah, I’m sure it was rendered to the Animation codec. Below is a screen grab of the QuickTime inspector for the movie in question. I also did some tests exporting the movie out of QuickTime using the Animation codec and I still get the same problem.

Yeah I ended up exporting all my video out of QuickTime with Motion Jpeg B compression and it works perfectly. But as I’m sure you know a work around like that will only work so many times before a more permanent solution must be found.

Excellent description Mike, we are definitely experiencing the exact same thing. I too am getting the seemingly random letters (qelr) along with the missing audio and if I use a different computer everything works fine. So now there are two people with the same problem. Someone out there must know what is going on here.

yeah the downsample factor and display resolution are set to full? there is definitely something more going on here. Still cant figure it out. I know I have seen this before. there has to be someone out there who has run into this and figured it out.

Yes checked it multiple times. The clips are good loops. All the obvious stuff I checked and rechecked. The trouble shooting I have done points to a non-user related issue. But I cant be positive of that.

    Adam,
Thanks for such a thorough and helpful response! I primarily used 3DS Max and Maya which both have the ability to toggle between world and object coordinates on the fly. That capability is such an essential part of my workflow I just assumed the button was broken. I tried both of your suggestions and though awkward solutions, they worked.
    Thanks a lot

Something isn’t right. The world/object coordinates button is switching back and forth but the orientation of the object dose not change. no matter what I try I can only move things with the object orientation.

Is that a question or a suggestion? can you be more specific?

Thanks a lot for the info. Unfortunately I don’t think what I am trying to do is possible. I just keep confusing everyone trying to ask questions about it. I think I am just going to leave this one alone for now.
    Thanks
