    Still a little confused here…

Should I use the “dvd ntsc” or the “dvd architect video streem” template to render out of movie studio?

Would you go any lower than this to get a larger file onto a single disc? How much lower? I several large movies to compress.

I assume 2 pass vbr would help with larger files.

Well, thanks for being around on a Sunday and for the help.

Is that the length in .avi time?
Do you know if there is a place on a time line that gives the length of a project after editing. I can see the avi file size in the original files. This is in Vegas.
    thanks

Just so I have this correct, it is the “dvd architect video stream” I want to use?

When I open vegas it wants me name a project. What if I just want to capture a bunch of different clips and save them to some file for future use?

Can you recommend a drive that one might look at to use with dvda, that is sata interface and proven to work with the software?
    thanks

    MIke

Why is that exactly? I hear many say they use dvda to prepare and something else to do the burn.
If one can burn with dvda, is it just as good as any other software, basically?

The first one was a samsung sh-s203n and the second was an asus drw-20b1lt.

I got a sata recommendation from the site earlier, pioneer drw-213np.
Perhaps I will try to find one and give it a try.
Theo, can you recommend one with sata interface that works.
I really enjoy dvda and it’s very frustrating not to be able to use it to its fullest.
I understand Sony’s not being able to cover every new unit that comes along instantly however.

    Thakn you Herald
I have bought a new samsung and an asus. Neither of which interfaced with dvda.
I could not find a list anywhere to simply guide a buyer to to a compatable burner. One would think for the price of these items this information would be readily available.

anyway thanks so much for the info.
I will buy a pioneer and ensure the firmware is up to date and go from there.
