    Gentlemen

I am doing ok with capture of hi 8 into vegas via acvd-55 but was wondering how to capture various tapes or parts of tapes and store those files until I want to import them into a project.
Do I have to use windows movie maker wizard for this??
What best settings, format etc to save these?

    Thanks for the help
    Ed

You can capture them the same way as Hi8. Vegas capture stores the video until you want to use it later.

When I open vegas it wants me name a project. What if I just want to capture a bunch of different clips and save them to some file for future use?

Capture the native resolution of your camera. Usualy NTSC dv. And it doesn’t matter. Vegas, windows movie maker, it’s a digital transfer. Danny
