Re the review: well I wanted to get more info on the replicator, new filters, animation tools and the improved integration with AE…though Apple does do a fair review on their site, I suppose. I thought you’d be on Tiger by now, which is partly why I asked. In fact, as a newbie I would really want you to do that review…hint hint…;)
Re mobnitors: so the 650-800:1 contrast ratio is that bad? I definitely understand the need to get the broadcast monitor for final reference so the Sony and the Decklink are a go for me.
So I should work on CRTs? Drat, iwas looking forward to losing the bulky wretches. Since I am a PC user, what CRTs work well on Macs? I am getting my list of items together to make the famous ‘switch’.

I enjoyed your review of Motion, which convinced me to consider Motion and the switch to Mac even more. When are you going to do a review of M2 for us newbies?
Bak to the question though: what decent CRTs are there? What do you use? How comes LCDs dont show the second field?
I am looking into CRTs because of space and some horrid fluctuations that I am curently getting (I think it’s something with these AOCs).

sounds good to me. i am particularly wary of the video card, since the options apple listed weren’t available thru the system i was configuring on macmall. which delivers better performance – the nvidia or the ati?
