Updating to Mountain Lion is the currently preferred OpenCL fix.
Although I just read that there is apparently a Lion 10.7.5 release that will happen, and maybe the OpenCL issue will be fixed in that?

Your better option would be to put the GT120 in slot 2, and connect your display to it, and use it as the GUI card. Then add a GTX series NVIDIA card in Slot 1. Assuming you are using Lion 10.7.4 or Mountain Lion.
If you are using Snow Leopard, then the only NVIDIA card you could add in slot 1 would be a Mac GTX285, FX4800 or Quadro 4000 card. If you got a Quadro 4000, you could stick that in slot 2 and use the HD5770 as your GUI card in slot 1, if you wanted to.
But you don’t want to use either the HD5770 OR the GT120 as a GPU card, if you can possibly avoid it.

Your XML indeed crashes Resolve V9 beta 2. It’s probably related to the speed changes in the file. I’ll pass it along to the development team for evaluation.

The System Overview is good. It won’t actually say GPU Only by the GPU card. If it’s in the list, and doesn’t have a GUI label, it’s being used as a GPU card.
So I would guess your low ArriRaw render speed is probably storage related.

You also need to right click in the viewer on the Color page and select the Show Scopes menu. If you have done the Reset UI Layout in the Projects page, then when you select the Show Scopes menu, the scopes should appear in the center of your main GUI display.

I currently have a single GTX460 in my test system. It’s rendering 2880×2160 ArriRaw files to DNxHD36 QT’s at about 20 FPS. Rendering 1920×1080 ProRes444 files to DNxHD36 QT’s at about 25 FPS.
It could be that the large size of the ArriRaw is making it slower than the PR444 file. What resolution was your ArriRaw and PR444 files?
At any rate, your ArriRaw source file render speed seems low.
Depending on resolution, the ArriRaw .ari files are going to need much more disk bandwidth than the PR444 file. Are you sure your disk I/O where the .ari files are stored is adequate?
If you look in Resolve Preferences, under System Overview, does it show your graphics cards being used as expected, i.e. does it show the 4000 as a GUI card and the 680 as a GPU only card?

Assuming you are installing Resolve V9, you want to use the Config guide recommended NVIDIA GEForce 301.42 driver for both cards.
I don’t know what UpdateCom.exe is. It’s not on our Resolve equipped Windows systems, nor does it show up in a casual Google search. Are you sure its an NVIDIA app?

Windows Resolve only supports CUDA GPU processing with NVIDIA cards.
AMD/ATI OpenCL GPU processing is only supported under Mac OS X.

The DEFAULT behavior is to use the first volume specified in the Resolve Preferences Media Storage area. However, that can be overridden by manually selecting a different path in the General Options Working Folders area. And manual selections made there can be stored in user configs, or as they are now called, Presets. So it would seem the preset you are using (likely your default preset) has the path selection saved in it that you don’t want. Just change the Working Folders paths to be what you want, and save the preset. Or make a new preset. You can right click on any of the presets to make them the default preset.
