Definitely update to Resolve 9.0.1, which has some tracking related issues fixed. Then if you still have crashing, please send us the log files as per Anish.

Regarding Pauls post, I did a test here to see what differences occurred. This was on a 5,1 MacPro with dual 2.4Ghz 6 core Xeon CPUs. 12 GB of RAM. OS X 10.8.2. CUDA 5.0.24. A single GTX570 graphics card. DeckLink HD Extreme 3D+. Using a ProRes422HQ HD source file. One node with a Primary correction. HD timeline. Rendering to a ProRes422HQ file in HD.
Render Speed Results:
V9 Beta 1: 76 FPS
V9 Beta 2: 76 FPS
V9 Beta 3: 76 FPS
V9 Release: 76 FPS
V9.0.1: 76 FPSI also ran the Standard Candle 82 test with all the above versions. There were no performance differences between any of the versions.
All Node tests realtime 24 FPS except 12 nodes, which was 14 FPS.
NR4 = realtime 24 FPS. NR3 = 21.5 FPS. NR2 = 10.5 FPS. NR1 = 3FPS.Regarding Dean’s comment, check this link to see if this is related:

Regarding Mario and Anish’s comments, it doesn’t look like we’ve received a project export to examine yet.

October 3, 2012 at 11:34 pm in reply to: Resolve V9 drops playback frame rate on dynamicsHi Joseph,
I agree with you on what he means.
There is apparently a V9/9.0.1 issue with keyframed window moves not playing in realtime with the Windows window selected, that goes away if you select something else, like the Curves or Qualifier window. I am not at all sure this is what he is seeing, but it’s a simple thing to try, just to be sure.

Try setting Source Blanking on the Format page to Off.

September 27, 2012 at 10:42 pm in reply to: Problems with JLCooper EclipseCX & 9.0.1 and/or Mountain Lion 10.8.2?We recently discovered an issue with the JLCooper panel and OS X 10.8.2. It is an OS X 10.8.2 specific issue, and only affects the JLCooper panel. We are working on a solution. In the meantime, the only solution is not to use OS X 10.8.2.

There was an issue with tracking not working properly in V9 with the “Center crop with no resizing” Input Scaling Preset selected. And that issue appears to still be in 9.0.1. This is with HD material on an HD timeline. If you select the “Scale entire image to fit” preset, the tracking should work properly.

In Project Settings, Image Scaling, what Input Scaling Preset do you have selected?

September 26, 2012 at 8:25 pm in reply to: DaVinci Resolve 9 Crashes When Adding To Media PoolResolve will not run on a 2009 iMac. You need at least a 2011 iMac with an ATI 6000 series graphics chip. The 4000 series ATI graphics chips will not work for Resolve.
Details for supported Mac systems are in the “DaVinci Resolve Config Guide Mac” document on the web site where the Resolve code is downloaded. The config doc is also included in the Mac Resolve installer. When you launch the Mac Resolve installer dmg, you will see the Resolve Manual and Config guide in the Installer window. You can drag those out to your desktop to read.

That is correct. Resolve Lite can access one GUI card and one GPU card. So you can add an NVIDIA card along with your 5770 GUI card, and Resolve Lite will use the NVIDIA card for GPU processing.
