  • 10.2.3 is quite possibly the culprit. The clips look perfectly normal to me as the associated timecode is continuously increasing. Can I assume it’s AVCHD footage?

  • You’re not really helping yourself much here.
What OS and version are you running?, what versions were you running?

There’s was an update a few years age which changed how my FS100 AVCHD footage was named on import. It now shows as Clip#1 Clip#2 etc.

Grab this app, open it and drag your video file onto the app window.
That will tell you more about the video and audio codecs used in the video file.

  • Edit the multicam clip into a timeline and it will playback the audio.
I’m having the same problem here.

It’s happening since I update to the recent version, I expect it’s a ‘feature’ of the new Roles related stuff, but it’s a real PITA.

Take a still image into Motion, copy it onto two layers,
Mask around the person on the top layer.
    Move the two layer around.

    It’s basically that simple.
The trick is to start the animation with the ‘person layer’ sized up slightly…
This covers up the same image of the person on the layer below, then as you move it you won’t see a double image.

You should consider AMD Radeon based GPUs for the best Hackintosh performance.
I personally run two R9 280x GPUs, but many newer models are now available.
If you look through the GPU sub forum at TonyMac or in the BruceX thread on fcp.co you’ll get lots of info.

It might also help to look at the ‘Displays have separate Spaces’ option in the OSX Mission Control preference pane… Perhaps change it and see if the problem persists.

I’ve just checked Sierra 10.12.4 along with FCPX 10.3.2 and monitoring through my Intensity Pro is still working fine.

I’m using an Intensity Pro in my Hackintosh, it’s been running now for almost 5 years. HDMI to a large monitor and analogue audio to a mixer and speakers.

In order to change the available settings for the card you need to open the BM preference pane which is in the main OS System Preferences. Do this with FCPX closed. Adjust your frame rates and resolutions here. When you reopen FCPX it will use whatever settings you’ve used in the preference pane.

Since updating to 10.3 I’ve found scaling of a 4k project to my 1080p monitor to be much more responsive.
