April 26, 2017 at 5:14 pmEditing on 5 K imac and have a secondary monitor set up which is for the browser. The monitoring set up has a workspace I’ve saved and named. When ever I open X the App in in single display mode with either the time line or browser displayed on the secondary monitor and a finder window on my primary which is the 5k imac. What gives here , I thought workspaces was there to define and save a monitor layout and it seems to do nothing at all?

April 26, 2017 at 9:47 pmThe iMac is “arranged ” in system prefs as the monitor on the RH SIDE of the set up panel with the menu bar above . The secondary monitor appears on the LH side of the panel
. Is this wrong somehow? -

April 26, 2017 at 10:10 pmIt might also help to look at the ‘Displays have separate Spaces’ option in the OSX Mission Control preference pane… Perhaps change it and see if the problem persists.

April 26, 2017 at 11:19 pmTHanks- that OSX mission control setting for monitors have separate spaces had to be unchecked. Now FCPX displays come up the way I want them to when opening the program…
