yes sorry typo… red rushes.. I have worked on plenty of red features in the past 2 years and this is something new… But this didn’t start happening till recently and isn’t something constant. So after 4 months of editing, it recently started this little quark. It happens maybe once a week, but I would like to figure what might be causing it and diagnose it.

Its a kona setting, when my project did that it was because I had it in 8bit and had to switch to 10bit on the setting i was using..

A fix I got for this is when the problem starts to happen, hit Apple+F12 to take the PLayback screen away for a couple seconds and then re-hit Apple+F12 to put monitor back up and the problem goes away.

So all I uninstalled the AJA Driver and then re-installed in and still am getting this problem.. below is a diagnostic of the crash…

nope, but i did find a semi work around. What I did is I brought the sequence I was working back into the project where the original merged clips were made and worked on it in that project then when done moved it out. Seemed to work pretty good, but again a complete problem with fcp 6 and 7 and merged clips working with multiple projects. FCP has not come anywhere close to replicating the Autosync function in AVID in terms of keeping the merged clips merged… Just another one of it fcp’s quarks while working with merged clips

We do not use them 99% of the time, so it that seems to not be the issue, but will keep an eye on that to see if that might be a cause…

When you say Vout… you mean other apps like AE or other video outs??? If that’s the case then no we dont switch back and forth.
Yeah and thanks already know about the uninstaller… going to do it at lunch and see if it helps.

The driver is the latest… might try reinstalling and see if it helps… daily maintenance.. ie cleaning cahce and clearing… making sure all drives running in good condition

its a weird little thing and it goes away when i relaunch and it hasnt happened again today, but just dont want it to happen again.
