Select the clip you want to remove the keyword from, and open the Keyword HUD (cmd+K) – delete the keyword from there, and your clip will disappear from that collection while retaining your other keywords.

…or place the corrected still below the primary – no need to trim! ;^)

  • What are you seeing when you say it’s not syncing properly?

    Quick walk-through:
    1. Import all of the footage and audio
2a. Select all of the 70D clips in the browser
2b. Open the inspector, and in the Info tab, enter a value in the Camera Angle field (Cam A). I enter Reel names, too (Day01_Card01)
2c. Select all of the GoPro footage in the browser
2d. Enter a different value in the Camera Angle field (Cam B)
2e. Repeat for iPhone footage and sync audio
    3. Select all of the elements in the browser, right-click, and select New Multicam Clip…

In the dialog that pops up, I think Use Audio for Synchronization is checked automatically. Once you set your parameters, there will be a bit of processing which will then deposit a new multicam clip in the browser.

  • I can think of two things – check that ‘All Files’ is selected at the top of the event browser, and make sure the search field is empty (a rogue space will hide stuff).

Mono tracks are panned center, so if you’ve got a silent track it shouldn’t have any effect.

Have a look under the “Final Cut Pro” menu, and check to see if “Commands” is set to default…

After the upgrade to 10.2, your libraries will be updated for the new version – so no going backwards without backups. That said, I haven’t had any issues going from 10.1.4 to 10.2. Well, I do have one issue with Pixel Film’s LUT Loader, but they’re looking into it.

Don’t know about Primaries Exporter, as I don’t use it.

    Hi David,
Got a few questions for you:
    – is your new laptop running 10.10.3?
    – which version of FCPX are you trying to run, 10.1.3 / 10.1.4 / 10.2?
    – are you allowing Final Cut to update / consolidate your libraries?

When you’re changing those values in the inspector, are you changing them from the Generator tab or the Text tab? Are those parameters visible in both tabs?
