Change the resolution of the text to double your project resolution. If you’re already working with HD, take the text resolution to 2K x 2k. This may (likely) will change your text sizing/ratio, so be prepared to redo portions of your 3D title. But…doing so will likely fix the resolution problem.

other than manually adding the switch, youtube does not currently offer a way to see HD by default.
Vimeo would be the next logical choice.

If you read the linked tutorial, it explains exactly how to do that.

Has a multi-level tutorial on how to encode for youtube.
    640 x 360 is a good size, 5-7.5Mbps, 30p, using mp4 vs wmv.
    wmv doesn’t scale real well.
FWIW, all our vids go to youtube as 1280 x 720, 30fps, 10Mbps

    A-your computer is really slow.
B-why are you rendering twice? You’re losing quality as a result.
C-even on a slow computer, unless you’re color correcting everything, using lots of composites, or heavy layering, rendertimes seem high based on your basic description.

Are you running antivirus by any chance? That’ll bring a render to its knees in most instances.

We do it via the SPDIF output of our audio card. I dunno any other way (other than AES) that you could?

  • Then select the entire frame, and toggle post/pre. Methinks you’re making a mountain out of a molehill. Can you give me an example of why you’d need to see an ENTIRE set of frames pre/post? Personally, I find it more accurate to be able to define a specific area that I’d like to see pre/post combined.

  • Split screen does EXACTLY that, you can see pre/post edit versions across the same frame, which in my opinion, is actually more valuable.
When you hit the “by pass FX” button in the preview window, you can choose the pre/post areas you’re observing, and therefore see critical detail both before and after color correction or other filtering.
You’re looking for something other than that behavior?

The blur you’re describing is classic 24p blur. Have you shot much with 24p?
