I too love editing with FCPX, but because I have the Creative Cloud, I will be watching CSNext very closely.
I did not find Premiere 6 to be better (for me) than X, but it’s close. If CSNext is great, it will give me the option to seriously think about moving to PC work flow, which is something I find tempting due to the price of replacing my 4 yr old MacPro, and MacBook Pro. I love OSX, but an edit capable laptop from Samsung or HP is half the price of the equivalent MacBook Pro

Long live the CUBE!!!!! After years of editing in PreRead and the likes, in high end linear suites, the Cube finally convinced me that non linear was the fun way to edit!

Has anybody actually met Aindreas? How do we know this isn’t Tim Wilson, ghost writing this to keep this forum interesting? Inquiring minds want to know……..

If there is a new MacPro, a likely announcement event would be NAB. This would be a the largest gathering of the MacPro buying community. IMHO.

I have seen the issue in every single project until now. I had upgraded to 10.0.7 just before I saw this thread, and added markers to project / timeline that didn’t have any markers. FCPX now acts like it should, instead of stopping on individual markers. I have not tried navigating with older markers. (pre 10.0.07)

  • [Shane Ross] “I’ve been so swamped with work that uses Avid that I haven’t been posting much here either. Back to back to back, and overlap.”
Gotta pay for that new house anyway you can….. except with X of course.
I be interested to know how easy it would be for one your girls to pick up on X. Last year I showed my daughter a pro bono video that I do yearly, that I did on X, she took one look at the screen and said ” you did this on iMovie? This year she cut the piece for me on X. My 23 year old son, who can out edit me sometimes (I’ve been an editor since ’86), will not touch X, but insists that only 7 is professional….
