Yeah I thought about that option. I thought about using my old Canon GL1 or GL2. And I agree that submitting anything other than original recording might present problems in court. Need to do some more research. Thanks John.

Yeah, I see it too when I play it back from the camera. But I need it to show up on a recording for a DVD. If you can find a way to do that, I’d sure appreciate knowing how. Thank for your help on this!

Thanks Alexey. Looks like it would cost me $100 to get the plug in though.

Hmmm. Just tried that and don’t see any date and time on the recording. Maybe I missed some step? Hope I can make this work. It sure beats spending $100 on plug in to do the job.

I’m pretty sure I tried to download and install on my old computer which was 32 bit and it said it wouldn’t work because it was a 64 bit version.

I’m sure it’s something like that, but I’ve tried system restore, removing all sony related software, removed sony from registry, etc., etc. etc. and it still won’t install.
But my Sony Vegas 13 Pro download specifically says 64 bit, are you saying it will work on a 32 bit system?

Can’t do a system restore. Tried that.

I think the only one I really have is VASST Unltimate Pro S which I have been using all along with my Vegas Pro 11. And when I was using the Vegas Pro13 trial, I didn’t do any changes with VASST or anything else and the trial version worked just fine. It was only after uninstalling the trial and then installing Pro13 full version that I am having this problem.

It’s a bit tricky using the tool to get the points at just the right location, but it definitely works and I appreciate your help with this.

January 13, 2015 at 1:58 pm in reply to: How to insert black border on right and left of screenThanks John, appreciate you getting back to me on this so quickly. I was not putting the tracks in the right order, but will put the main cam track on top, then the black mask track and then the PP track. I have about a dozen more to do.
Two problems still. First and most important, I can’t figure out how to cut out the center section of the black mask track to adjust it to cut out the sides of the PP track. I tried the Sony Mask Generator tool on the black track? Can’t seem how to make that work. Can you give a quick description on how to cut out the center of the mask track?
And secondly I have already edited one session with Ultimate S cutting in all the PP slides, but had the PP track on top and no black mask track. Is there any way to fix this without having to re-edit this section completely by possibly adding a black mask track and moving the PP track below the main cam track?
