When I click the file I get 2 (sub)folders: a BDMW folder and a CERTIFICATE folder. The BDMW folder contains several subfolders (AYXDATA, BACKUP, BDJO,…). I must be doing something wrong.

Track motion is, indeed, what I needed. Thanks a lot!

The problem seems to be solved, although I don’t know why. I think I am doing the same things as before, but now it seems to work

[John Rofrano] “What is your timeline ruler set to?”
That was the reason: my ruler format was SMPTE EBU (25fps, Video). I switched to Time & Frames and it works. Thanks a lot!
But what actually is SMPTE EBU ? It refers to video, 25fps (for Europe) and has the same units as Time&Frames. When would you want to use that format. I looked it up, but I didn’t get any wiser.Dirk

“Just modify the Duration setting in the Video Media Generator window”
That’s what I do, but as soon as I change 00:00:10:00 to 00:00:15:00, it changes again to something else (This time it was 22:40:00:00)

“That PC should perform awesome. It’s has the latest Intel Core i7-2600 3.4Ghz processor, 8G of RAM, a 2TB Hard-Disk, and a high end nVidia GTX460 with 2GB of memory. That is state-of-the-art right now. You will enjoy editing on that PC”
A bit of a late reaction, but how should I look at the 8G of RAM with respect to i7 being triple channel technology, as I learnt from this forum. I notice that a lot of pre-configured computers have 8GB of RAM. Shouldn’t the RAM size be 3 times xGB in case of triple channel?

“You might want to seriously consider upgrading to 64-bit Windows 7. You are limiting your hardware and will probably see an improvement in Vegas with the speed and added memory that Win7 64-bit will make available.”
I fully agree, but re-installing all programs is such a lot of work (if they still work after all after the upgrade)
As far as copy/paste is concerned, it seems that copying (or importing .aaf) removes the stabilisation when going from Vegas 10 to Vegas 9, so I guess I will have to do a render after stabilisation and then put the rendered event on the time line.

Another thing: when I place the 2 versions (Vegas 9 and 10) side by side (on the same screen), the colours also look significantly different. In Vegas 9 the colours (in the preview window) look much more natural (softer) than in Vegas 10, where they look much more saturated (or even more like the contrast has been modified a lot). Am I really the only one having this experience. I suppose it does not affect the final outcome (though that becomes difficult to judge).

As far as I understand, these templates are audio templates used when rendering video and audio seperately, right?
I tried to render in the past using the bluray template (with seperate audio and video rendering), but that didn’t work for me because of a “low on memory” message. So, this is what I do:
1/I render to AVCHD to have a version of my compilation that can be used in Vegas for further editing/changes afterwards if needed. That works. The AVCHD template renders both audio and video and here I don’t see the settings you listed: only the “automatic gain control” option seems to be available. When I uncheck (as suggested by Matt) volume is kept. So far, so good
2/ I burn a bluray iso file directly from the timeline. Here I use wave64 for audio: no problem.
However, I can also choose AC3 here, butI see no option to play with the automatic gain option, so I guess this could again give a low volume problem, right? Is there an advantage of using AC3 over wave64?Dirk

I’m not sure where I can find where to change these settings.
