are you sure that the rendered video has the same frame size as when in the project? That might be causing the problem. If you are using an uncommon frame size before you render go to customize and select custom them write it in.

First thing you can check the bitrate of the media. on windows I just right click on the file and go to properties then details. Before you render highlight the whole project with the select tool (no audio just video/images or it would work). When it’s all highlighted yellow go to edit/switches then disable resample. Now when you go to render look for something like hd internet 1080 or something like that, basically look at the options under the mp4 section. Pick one then go to customize settings. You don’t want the frame size to be bigger than the source media, and you typically want the frame rate to match as well. Vegas will usually set that up automatically when you put the first video clip in. Now choose or put in a constant bitrate or a variable bitrate that evens out to be close to the actual bitrate of the media, select 2 pass encoding, then click on project and go to video rendering quality and select best. This should probably increase the quality of the render, I’m a pretty big dunce when it comes to video quality/sound quality kind of stuff and this basically the extent of my knowledge in this area.

here is one method to do this, it’s not necessarily the best way but it works. but if you want to recreate a semi starwars effect too you can do that as well.

Have you upgraded to version 352? This may sound like a similar problem people are having in the magix forum. I went back to 307 because of the new “feature” that blacklists certain plugins. If nothing else works maybe try going back to 307. Also maybe check this thread.

Well I didn’t catch the part about the right click. That’s a new one. Yet another thing I never knew vegas could do. This might be useful for somethings.

Thanks grazie, i did know but i wanted to put them in without audio so i kept pointlessly opening them in the trimmer despite them not even having any audio
