Hi,
Recently, I mean 3 days ago, I had an unpleasant issue with a client’s Sandisk SSD, which is, I believe, not more than 2 years old. It was connected to my MacBook Pro and I was working fine, then I had a lunch break, and when I came back and pressed play on Premiere Pro 25, it didn’t play, and I saw glitches on the canvas, so I restarted Premiere, but no luck. And I discovered that I don’t see the drive on my desktop, and the drive was very hot. And it doesn’t work anymore. I had to format it and erase. Luckily, I have the backup on another drive. So long story short, no matter which drive you use, always have a consistent backup on another drive. Personally, I prefer Crucial SSDs, but there are many brands to choose from. The most important thing is to establish a good backup system.
