    Hi Jeff,

I am most definitely using the render queue. The output settings are the default settings set to ‘best’.

    Thank you!

Why would chroma keying be necessary or recommended over the 4-point tracking?

Hi David – I am still running into trouble. My comp is 720X480 set at widescreen 1.2

However when I render it out, it is still rendering at 4:3! It is acting this way both on my computer media players and when i burn to a DVD. I went through the output settings and found nothing that I may have over looked. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you Dave!

  • Thank you and David so much for the direction! Hopefully my experiment will yield a good learning experience (and maybe – god forbid – a good result! lol)

    thank you for the help

  • No – I am renting a screen from a video rental store.

I appreciate the help, but I was looking for an opinion on what has worked best for you. I have googled the conversions, pull downs, et cetera, but was hoping for guidance. Thank you in any case.

Thank you both! That was it – I was not selecting cropped layers. Only an error a newbie can make! Lol – thanks!

November 9, 2008 at 3:50 pm in reply to: Project in 16:9 but building in 4:3

thank you for the new build, joe! incidentally i did install it and the DVDs are reacting the same way. The menus are in 16:9 but all the playback is in 4:3!! arrgh! lol

One thing I did realize is that I have four timelines – 3 in 16:9 and one in 4:3. Could the settings for the 4:3 timeline be overriding th playback on the others for one reason or another?

in a case like that, even though the assets are already MPEG 2, should i set Encore to transcode them in 16:9 again during the build? or should i take the 4:3 out of the project altogether?

    thank you!!
