If I change the Video to Safe Mode (GDI only), no problems.
But when it uses DirectX, wham, it’s brighter than it should be.
strange! Any thoughts?
thanks,

thanks everyone,
Just a follow up.
This is what NASA replied after an email:
“Feel free to use the images as you wish. The images found on the Visible Earth website are available for non-commercial OR commercial use. Just make sure to give credit to NASA.”

thanks for all the advise so far to everyone,
I’m busy trying a combination of AR’s tight matte tut, Greg and Nicks efforts, thanks for this.
But there is other interesting information in this thread like what brendon said about not color correcting before keying.
thanks for the help everyone, I just might be able to use the footage after all.

I just watched the super tight junk matte tutorial, and it should help a bit.
i’ll also read the keylight manual, haven’t read it in a longtime,
i know I’m trying to get blood out of a stone here, I’ll never take a greenscreen shoot so casual that’s for sure, but maybe a can get acceptable result, Greg’s looks workable.
when applying levels, do you boost the green to try and get a more even screen?
thanks,

thanks for the replies,
Dave, your right, it is a lesson in taking more time or rather moving a little shoot to another day, we wanted to get done, and that is why we have the poor result.
It is a personal project for a friend, I would like to try and use this, even though I know the truth, it needs proper reshoot, but to get those two together in daytime is almost impossible.
Nick, I would like to see those images, but when I click the links the webpages are empty?
any chance you could maybe post the AE project file please?
thanks for everyone’s time,

June 25, 2008 at 6:21 pm in reply to: How do you separate camera angles to different video tracks after performing a multi cam edit in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3?the way you describe is actually a very slow way to work.
the ripple edit, rolling edit, slip tool, etc…, is a lot faster way to achieve what you need done.
It’s also very quick easy to select a transition and change it’s duration.

June 25, 2008 at 5:44 pm in reply to: How can I add a different speech audio track and still work in the source monitor?Well, try this.
Drop the clip on the timeline in Sequence 1,
mute the audio track, then ADD the audio to the next available audio track you want to use.
then go to File -> New -> Sequence,
In the timeline select this sequence (sequence 2).
then drag and drop sequence 1 to the source monitor.
bob’s your uncle, your wish granted

Not sure how it was done, but, AWESOME work.
That is the current (and many times over) World champion kite surfer, I saw him in Bloubergstrand, Cape Town, South Africa in February.
He travels all over the world surfing, everyone wants to sponsor him, film him, publish him, yet, he stays a very humble and cool guy to be around.
