  • I don’t know why, have never experienced that. However I also usually don’t take the time to deal with a problematic mogrt. However – is it the same text clip that keeps changing? If it’s just one and you’re in love with the morgrt maybe just add that clip after export. A giant pain but would work. Otherwise I’d swap out for a different mogrt. Others on this forum probably know a lot more about this so please chime in.

Others may come after me for saying this and others may have better answers, but my suggestion is don’t worry about it unless it continues to happen. It might just be something about that particular sequence (with the green rendered line) that is hinky. One thought – after you exported the yellow line sequence, did you try rendering it to a green line to see if it would “go green” and if you could export from the sequence or if the problem repeated? I’ve found more than a few issues that have easy work-arounds, and unless they recur and cause more problems I don’t have time to worry over them. For example, Media Encoder often has a naming issue and tries to name my export after a previous export, not the name of the current sequence. I just go in and change the name. Problem solved. Good luck and let us know what happens or if you have further issues.

I would set up a permanent download link. I put things into Drop Box and leave them. You can set Drop Box so that it is cloud only and doesn’t take space on your hard drive. I would not give them any kind of mechanical device. It will only cause you issues later. As for output – a high quality Mp4 with h.264 codec is playable by almost any device. If they need something different they will ask. In Media Encoder I use H.264 Match Source – Adaptive High Bitrate in an mp4 wrapper and it works fine.

I export videos and upload to a streaming server service called iPlayerHD.com From there I can create links for my customers to view and request revisions, if needed. Anyone with the link can watch the video, so your customer can pass it around. The link is not public so it’s not like the video is up on YouTube, thought you could upload to YouTube and password protect. The service is inexpensive. You can also create a download link for your customer.. It’s worthwhile. Don’t bother with jump drives. Too many things can go wrong and you have to get the drive to the customer in the 1st place. iPlayerHD is simple to use. Simple for my clients. They don’t have to create a log-in. Highly recommend it.

In mine a folder called “Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save” is automatically created in the same folder where my project document resides.

I’ve noticed a similar glitch in Audition… when trying to save a file. But regarding Premiere Pro – perhaps this will help.

When I open Premiere by clicking on the application icon a very large window opens from which I can create a new project or open an existing project from a long list of projects. I HATE this window. I do not need it. It interrupts my work flow. This window doesn’t open if you click on the Premiere Pro project icon. So I created a Project Icon that I copy and rename whenever I start a new project. I put it into the appropriate folder where all assets for that project reside, and it stays put. Once there and renamed I open it (for the first time) and begin working. That aforementioned very large window that I hate has been problematic for me from day one, so I simply ignore it. And I never have to worry about where my project gets saved. It lives where I put it to begin with. Hope this helps.

March 18, 2024 at 2:19 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro Start Screen Crashes my iMac

Sorry – yes, did all the usuals. Blew out the prefs. Did a couple of safe boots as I understand the Mac does some housecleaning when that is done. Even de-installed and re-installed Premiere Pro. This actually began AFTER I tried out the new AI noise reduction abilities of Premiere Pro, using the pop-up tutorial that is made available when (I believe) I opened the software. I may have just upgraded Premiere Pro from an earlier version when that happened. I don’t recall. I wonder if there is a way to prevent the start screen from opening. Though not sure I could create a new project without it opening. Thanks for any further insight….
