Interesting idea Randy – thanks. I wouldnt have thought to do it that way.

Would the AA be as crisp as if it wasn’t distorted? Or would C4D soft the AA in the refraction?

In response to your question, I will need lens distortion likened to that of a wide angle lens so quite extreme on eg. an exterior wide shot of a building.

Thanks Adam. I’ll give that a go. One way I found was to use the dynamics to separate any objects that were cutting through each other, then make cloner object editable. Stick the clones into a fracture object and use a target effector. That’s keeps them all in the same position still with mograph control. It’s does mean I can’t use dynamics but i intended to render with vray so need something I can take back into v11.

Sorry I’m rambling, just thought this might trigger some ideas.

    Found it…
Render post effect pass through mutlipass – just in case anyone else needs to know 🙂

    Thanks Adam,

Both of these are really good ways. I was thinking xpresso could have been the solution, then maybe a HUD slider for ultimate ease of access.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks Adam,

    Quick question…

How reliable is boot camp for running the software in my list? I need it to be ultra reliable for long vray renders.

Sounds like a great idea though…i have read about boot camp but just assumed (probably wrongly) it would be full of glitches and not take advantage of all the machines power, especially for high end HD graphics.

Just for the sake of a fully rounded opinion…has anyone else got any thoughts, or opinions about bout camp?

    Many thanks.

Brilliant – thanks for the response. The file is very close to what I need. I’d never adjusted rotational mass before…guess thats where I was going wrong.
    Thanks for your help.

Ah ha, I see what Lennart means. Use a Cinema 4d native material for the animated face texture, then render it as the viewport. Native cinema 4d materials only get blown out when you do the full GI render through vray. Then for the final render, switch the native material for the proper vray material.

Great stuff guys – many thanks

    thanks for your reply.
Thats great for rendering through advanced render, but is there an equivalent for vray materials? I can’t an animate preview in the vray material. Hopefully I’m just missing it somewhere.
    Any ideas much appreciated.
    Thanks again
