    Thanks, Noah.
I will try those solutions and see what happens.

I am always reluctant to do a reinstall or upgrade in the midst of a project, but will try that if the first solution fails.
    Much thanks again.

Thanks Noah. I’m still relearning the jargon from earlier FCP times.
Anyway, how to find/recall the Library, then Event that I need? As mentioned, I usually count on it to be there by default when reopening FCP X. Now it’s not. I don’t know how that happened, but I’ll figure out later. The main thing is finding the Library/Event I need.
    Much thanks.

    Walter,

I know I’m responding to an old post of yours, however the question is still relevant… at least for me. I’ve upgraded to a MacPro and latest FCP. Just want to know what I need (cards, hardware, etc.) to get HiDef out of the Mac to a small HiDef monitor I recently purchased. Basically something that will provide HDMI out of the Mac.
Of course, as we all are, I’m moving away from SD. No longer wanting to monitor routed through a camcorder with RCA plugs into the monitor.
You seem to be the go-to guy about this kind of stuff, so your help is appreciated. I really need to get up to speed, so I would love a list. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. I checked it out. Good resource, but I’m actually looking for a rundown form/template more entertainment oriented (talk show, magazine show) than news. Something simpler, with the ability to add time and back time.

    Dave,

Thanks for the info. I’ll research the items you mentioned. And I gave up on anything free or cheap a long time ago.
By the way, I have a G5, which should allow the added item you suggested.

    Dave,
Thanks. I agree. I should have been more specific. My second monitor IS a video monitor. I’m just trying to find a way to see my edit-in-progress timeline on that video monitor without routing through a camcorder.

I thought I was the only one wrestling with this. I tried your suggestion. Seems to have worked. Thanks so much.
