I’d love a “duplicate session” too.

Or maybe an “instance session”, meaning two session which share the same timeline and everything, except for versions…

  • I had this bug when I re-rendered quicktime files from After Effects, with slightly different timings.

To solve the problem, I deleted the old clips, deleted their references in the timelines, and re-edited them. Not very handy, but it worked in my case…

    good luck

  • We bought the GT120+GTX285 from macvidcards for a 3,1 2008 Mac Pro.

I get realtime performance on Resolve 8.2:
    – in 2D, almost all the time except with noise reduction or image resize
    – turning on monitoring with the Intensity Pro seems to break the realtime except I set it to 8 bit and use Desktop Video 8.6 (unconfirmed, not to check more)

but with Stereo 3D, it’s NEVER realtime – even with small 35mbps XDCAM EX wrapped in QT mov files. as soon as I check “display both eyes for 3D”, realtime breaks.

anyone managed to get realtime perf in S3D in Resolve 8.2 on a Mac Pro?

I’m not sure GPU is the limiting factor but it seems logical. Would it be possible to install 2 GTX 285 on a 2008 Mac Pro?

    Hi,

    Got this problem too…

Got a 2008 Mac Pro with GT120 + GTX285, Intensity Pro, Resolve 8.2, Desktop Video 9.5 (tried with 9.1 too), and as soon as I turn on Intensity Pro monitoring, I drop to 16-17fps, even for a simple QT XDCAM file with one empty node.

When I turn off monitoring, I get realtime perf again.

    I am reading here:
    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/277/9320#9866
that other people have realtime perf with Intensity Pro – how’s that possible?

I got the problem they have there: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/277/13225

  • yep, same issue here: Quicktime is “too light”

But if my goal is vimeo, then everything works, because I ignore the QT intermediate files, and then Resolve image = Vimeo image.

    details:
    – From Resolve, I export a QT ProRes 422, with data levels = auto (same as data levels = scaled video, ie 64-940). My QT ProRes is too light, but I don’t care

    – Convert QT ProRes to QT MP4 15mbps in Compressor. that’s too light too, but I still don’t care

    – I upload to Vimeo, and I get my Resolve image.

    hope this helps

    Hi Michael,

I sent you a small bin with just:
    – two LE/RE (left/right eye) 2D master clips of a real shot
    – an S3D clip created from them – synced with common TC. (TC sync works)
    – a sequence with part of that S3D clip edited in it

If I output this sequence into left/right EDLs, the start TC isn’t the right one for on of the eyes – and it’s not the same, even if that of the S3D clip are synced to have same TC.

I’ll keep the thread posted if I find a solution, but I’ve tried almost everything…

    Best
    David
