    Hi,

    I tried this on two different projects with different sources and workflows, and there’s a problem, probably with EDL Manager?

    1) I have L/R master clips
    2) they have same synced TC, but not same starting TC (record button wasn’t pushed at the same time on two cameras)
    3) I create the S3D clip, syncing on TC
    4) I edit it – everything works in MC6.
    5) When I output the EDL, EDL Manager gives a different TC

    003 LE__0003 V C 14:38:11:00 14:38:21:00 01:00:31:09 01:00:41:09
    * FROM CLIP NAME: LE__0003_01

    003 RE–0004 V C 14:38:16:17 14:38:26:17 01:00:31:09 01:00:41:09
    * FROM CLIP NAME: RE–0004_01

    The right one is the left one (source 11:00, not 16:17). and the difference: 16:17-11:00 is exactly the difference between the start TCs of the two:
    LE__0003_01 Start TC 14:37:14:10
    RE–0004_01 Start TC 14:37:20:02

    in EDL manager, I chose “START TC” as source TC, because that’s logical and that’s the default, and none of the other works.

    Anyone managed to export L/R EDLs from MC 6?

    I’m trying to conform in Resolve. Resolve works perfect, except EDL manager feeds him false info 🙂

    Thanks!

    Can you zip the bin with the sequence or a sequence of just those clips and send it to me to look at? If so, send to:

    Hi Michael,

    I sent you a small bin with just:
    – two LE/RE (left/right eye) 2D master clips of a real shot
    – an S3D clip created from them – synced with common TC. (TC sync works)
    – a sequence with part of that S3D clip edited in it

    If I output this sequence into left/right EDLs, the start TC isn’t the right one for on of the eyes – and it’s not the same, even if that of the S3D clip are synced to have same TC.

    I’ll keep the thread posted if I find a solution, but I’ve tried almost everything…

    Best

    Thanks for sending bin. I will get some time today to take a peek and see what’s going on.
