You’d still need to have the Path in the Text layer as well, correct?

Coming from Avid — In the 3 way Color Corrector you can gently “push” the middle one towards magenta (the exact opposite of green) and it should start to balance it back to a more normal look. You can also do it with the shadows and highlights but it seems you need to do it less with those.

  • This sounds awesome! However when I tried the example as Job suggested, I had the audio volume drop down significantly, but not be eliminated??? Interestingly, I can actually see the audio waveform inverted after rendering the track with the “Invert” effect. I used some stock library music for the test. Any ideas?

December 31, 2008 at 4:13 pm in reply to: Final Cut trial software?

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for the quick reply. Couple of questions:

    1. If I got up to speed on FCExpress then walked into a Final Cut Pro bay would I be lost or would I be able to jump right in?
    2. Related to 1. above — would I then be proficient enough to include Final Cut Pro on my resume (in your opinion)?
    3. In your opinion, how important is it to learn Color/Motion/DVD Studio Pro (ie the whole Studio package) and is it assumed that any Final Cut editor will know the whole Studio package?

    Thanks,

Mike, are you saying this is standard functionality in PremPro 1.0? I am hard pressed to believe that as it would make quick editing very cumbersome.

  • Hi,

It looks like it is simply strobed (which is what essentially what you thought it was).

I work on Avid so I couldn’t tell you how to strobe in Premiere but I am sure if you search for Strobe in the Premiere help file you will find your answer.

I have had slight transparency problems with mattes if My black was not set at 0,0,0 and my white was not set at 255,255,255. I fit is not pure white or pure black than it will have some amount of transparency/opaqueness.

Double check the matte with a color picker and see if the white and black are as above.
