Very amateur video editor here. When applying an effect, the clip changes to a completely different shot. Why is this?
I’m working with a video I recorded and when I apply a lot of effects the clip is transformed to a shot that is later in the video. Can anyone explain this?

Here is a video showing my issue. I have never had this before and it’s really baffling me. -

What happens if you disable the effects?
