December 23, 2008 at 6:06 pm in reply to: Open Format Timeline — Not Prompting me to Change SettingJeremy, thanks for your quick response and insight. I double checked my workflow with this particular project and the piece of footage provided by the client was (this particular piece) was not a standard editing codec or size, it was some crazy 630 x 500 size with the Animation Codec so no wonder FCP didn’t prompt me to make such a timeline.
I tested against some normal codecs (dvcprohd 720, dvntsc 480, etc.) and all is working as expected.
I shoulda checked that “last minute” addition that was provided, but assumed it was a normal size piece of footage.
Once again, thanks for your response, it got me thinking in the right direction.

Hi Ernest,
I’m a huge user of PI for my particle needs, but I was also in need of the situation you are in. I invested in CHV’s Particles Heaven as a PLAN B for such the occasion. Hopefully that helps. Alan, NO DISRESPECT to PI, I love the product, but thought I’d point Ernest in perhaps a solve for his case.

November 20, 2007 at 5:43 am in reply to: Intensity Pro and AECS3 Mac – Real Time Preview? Can you elaborate on this Blast? My question may have been mis-stated. I’m trying to see my RAM previews in Realtime from AECS3. If I’m able to see realtime ram previews sans intensity (i.e. 30fps playback) should I get the same results with Intensity??
what am I missing?

EDITING my own post. I did not follow BM’s specific direction when working with HDMI. Turning on the HDTV FIRST, then powering up my Mac Pro has done the trick for monitoring my various project timelines correctly. Even Motion is doing a decent job.
I was able to quit FCP go to Motion, back to FCP and monitoring is working as long as I power up TV first. Cool.
I would like to know from BM if that will change any time soon, or is that the nature of the card and HDMI signals?
cheers

Zax, quick follow up. Downloaded the demo and it’s pretty darn close. I am running into intersection problems, but I wonder if I do my folds right, I might get away with the folding down.
Any thoughts other than the original speculation greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply Zax. I’ll download the demo tonite and see if 8ths might be good enough for the project. Cheers and I’ll keep you posted.

Steve and all who posted, thanks very much. It wasn’t a matter of frustration, just confirmation that something might have been wrong with my app.
