If anyone is still tracking this thread. I am finding that any fxplug filter applied to the vector image causes the image to go raster, is this confirmed as such?

Thanks for checking in on this thread and reporting back. Hopefully I’ll hear back and get at least that far with a new installer as well. I really like the tool also. It would be a shame to see it not get further developed for FCS2.

I sent e-mail to dvgarage. I’m hoping to also get the new installer. Any chance of sharing?? Is it an update or a brand new installer you received. If a new installer then you probably shouldn’t share it since their registration is essentially the installer. Hopefully I’ll hear back soon as well.

PI 3.0.5 updater crashing consistently on PPC. PI Render updater worked fine. Any thoughts?

Whew! Thanks much if you do respond. Found what I was looking for in the Texture Attributes “Animate Preview” window. Sorry for the premature post without full due-dilligence in discovering the interface. Tips on animating with greenscreen footage greatly accepted still.

February 26, 2007 at 5:56 am in reply to: Rendering Video with a Transparent BackgroundHi Mylenium, can you be more specific in your answer. I’m experiencing the same thing. I want to output a quicktime file (Animation + Alpha) codec. Where do we select the setting to output our 3d model (animation) to retain alpha. Is this object buffering?
thanks for your help

February 6, 2007 at 4:56 am in reply to: Homemade Render Farm? AE 7 Pro and Mac Mini(s)Yep, that math seems correct all things considered. Great to have forums like this where good advice flourishes. Thanks again for taking time to respond. I’ll consider myself fortunate to have Nucleo Pro working hard with my DP G5 and get on the Intel Train when AE8 arrives at the station (bad metaphor but you get the point).
Much appreciated.

February 6, 2007 at 1:52 am in reply to: Homemade Render Farm? AE 7 Pro and Mac Mini(s)Thanks for your post, I am looking to see what AE 8 will offer but very keen to know if distributed rendering with Mac Minis is feasible today with AE7. I’m sure Adobe will always be addressing the render issue and will be taking full advantage of the Mac Pro’s capabilities.
Cost factor of the minis shouldn’t be in the 1K range as you speculate (or should it?). I’m after the processing power, not hard drives or ram upgrades (the minis are to be servants, not useful computers) but I may be overlooking that somehow. Anyway, thanks much.
When AE 8 comes out, I may be in a $$ position to up the ante to a tricked out Mac Pro. Thanks again for taking the time to read and respond.
