November 19, 2009 at 2:33 pm in reply to: BCC Extruded Text — Rotate Around Globe (Sphere Object)Thank you for the thinking. I’m on Macintosh systems so Blue wouldn’t be feasible at this time. Hoping some other kind posters will have some insight into BCC package.

@spyros
wow, a guy gives you the answer you were looking for (since you didn’t read down the page far enough) and you give him a snide comment back. Way to be respectful on the boards.

32 GIGS locked and loaded. CS4 products in general load MUCH faster. AE moving along smoothly. Will report any benchmarks later.
Much thanks to Todd and all for input.
No Rosetta here kids, all INTEL.

June 1, 2009 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Mograph — Lots of cubes spread random then forming a shapeThanks much for this. I think the build is correct but still (of course) not understanding where to set keyframes/achieve the effect where ALL CLONES start and stop at once. Is it in “falloff”?
Sorry, this is not my forte but totally think I’m close to getting it. I need clones to start forming the next shape less uniformly. I’ll keep looking at your project to find the appropriate adjustment.
thanks

May 12, 2009 at 6:07 am in reply to: Mograph — Lots of cubes spread random then forming a shapeThanks much, may be too complex of a concept for me to wrap my brain around but I’ll try to follow your directions step by step and see if I can achieve the result. Any chance you could post a dummy project? If that is not appropriate, thanks for the step by step walk thru.

Thank you, this has me thinking in a good direction. Can Particles being emitted have dynamics applied to them? I’m trying this approach but nothing is working.
I did a single balloon with dynamics and it behaves correctly.
Any insight, greatly appreciated.
