You could use a dvd authoring tool to create it. 52″? really? Thats one hell of a touchscreen. I cant imagine trying to see a screen that big only arms length away from it.

I ran across this problem, though i was panning across video. Pan and scan shots are typically pretty short and only really exist to provide some motion to what would otherwise be a boring still. They werent meant to reveal stuff, as that would take too long and its a pretty boring thing to watch regardless.

As for the judder, AE does that alot, render it out to h264 and see how it does.

Your right, it does have a cap. Luckily flash lets me work around that arbitrary limitation.

Dave, while i dont agree with autodesks price, they did make a good decision on making the system turnkey, thats really the only way a company can guarantee a solid solution, so i guess i shouldnt be so hard on adobe, but still, if im using CS5 on win7 on intel/nvidia hardware, theres really not a whole lot of variables left to consider, especially given that they probably have alot more resources than autodesk to make it work on what is essentially a standardized system.

No worries though, someone will come along eventually and beat the A’s at their own game.

Theres no actual max limitation of vp6, and 23.98 is just how media encoder shorthands 23.976.

I dont get why no one ever just says “hey, we all know it, adobe products are like dog shit, full of bugs and always more coming out.” For once i’d like adobe to publicly apologize for its software and the headaches it has caused so many people.

Beamsplitters cause discoloration in the splitted image, how is that going to help with HDR?

Um, that should be “i cant afford red so i’ll look into film”. Editing at 32bit wont make any difference if you didnt capture at 12bit or above (all consumer/prosumer cameras capture at 8bit, which is compressed playback depth). I think you mean video DSLR’s, which might sample the sensor at a higher resolution, but still only offer 8bit. Your going to need at least a six figure budget to get what your looking for. That or just shoot all timelapse.

It wouldnt be the same result, but then again theres no way to do HDR videography unless you have a RED or something that can take simultaneous dual exposures. To do what your talking about would still require a RED or similar to get RAW video. You’d be better off shooting film for the latitude it would offer to attempt such a thing, but you can already achieve a similar effect using curves.
