  • Does the loop pause occur when played on a computer?

I want to create a BD menu where the loops are seamless. I have the option of having this play on whatever machine i want, and would like it so that it doesnt pause between loops. Is this inevitable on a BD player, and if so, does this loop pausing still occur when played back on a computer?

    hey david,
this small pause will always happens as encore don´t create muliple playlists with seamless boundary. that´s only possible with scenarist, bluprint and maybe with dostudio.

    cheers

Thanks for the tip, that saved me a bit of unnecessary learning.

I’m actually working on modifying Encore Blu-ray images using BDEdit to create a seamless flow during the loop point and for transitions. It is very possible to do (without any pauses on any players), using the connection condition value of 5 for a playlist item, and the programmers of Encore could have easily done it. Unfortunately it could take many versions of Encore before it is implemented (if ever).

Once I figure out a fool proof way of doing it, I will create a tutorial.
