July 7, 2014 at 9:07 pm in reply to: Easy Ease (interpolation) Keyframing for Sacale, Transform, X/Y, Rotation issueThanks Andy. They Work. For anyone that might like to know the placement of these “effects” which are really “Templates”. Here it is: “First Quit FCP X. Once downloaded, go to “Macintosh HD”, to Library, to Application Support, to Final Cut Pro, to Templates, (I opened up the main “Alex4d” folder). Inside will be the subfolders-such as “Alex4D Curve Scale, Alex 4D Curve Rotation AND the others. NOW grab all 6 of these subfolders and DRAG them INTO the “EFFECTS” folder that is inside the “TEMPLATES”. Now re-start
FCP X and when you go to your EFFECTS, they will all be under “CUSTOM”D’s Video

July 7, 2014 at 8:29 pm in reply to: Easy Ease (interpolation) Keyframing for Sacale, Transform, X/Y, Rotation issueThanks Andy. I’ll try to relocate those into the proper folders. We’re just starting to migrate from FCP 7 into X. Wow, a totally different mindset, I think. So far, my 1st 2 “easy projects”, which would have taken about 2.5 hours in FCP 7, I spent about 12 hours in FCOP X. Oh well, guess each time will gain new knowledge and become a bit easier.

June 14, 2014 at 3:58 pm in reply to: Effects/Transition on Top layer Affecting Bottom/main layerThanks, I will check that when back at work Monday. I do believe it was the “blur” under effects, but not sure of the Zoom function-if it was in the motion tab-(sorry, old FCP7 terminology) or an effect.

Hello Nick! Our other editor, ended up making a New Project and dragging the same video file (that is in the main Pegasus Drive) back on the timeline and all played fine. Maybe we just got a corrupted timeline!
Oh well, I’m sure we’ll have many more FCPX questions.
Thanks, DavidD’s Video

Yes, it is “flipped and downsized” on both the external monitor and the FCP Viewer. Doesn’t seem to be any pattern to which scenes it flips. We are just in the initial FCP X set up stages, building and making our keyboard shortcuts, watching Ripple training tutorials
Thanks for your input.

October 18, 2012 at 10:16 pm in reply to: Encore DVD will not play in a computer blu-ray driveThanks Eric, knew that one, I am betting they might be trying to play this on a standard dvd drive. And
I told the client when I delivered the dvds to them that these were blu-ray dics.

October 18, 2012 at 10:14 pm in reply to: Encore DVD will not play in a computer blu-ray driveThanks Bill, I actually have texted my client that exact question of “do your laptops have blu-ray drives installed in them? I never tried to play my authored blu ray in one becuase neither my family members
or my work (and I work in broadcast television) have blu-ray anything!

Thanks guys for your help. Yep, I am pretty sure that I double checked all the settings and have
force-rendered the the multi layers within the nest. Yep, bit dissappointed in apple’s quality here,
plus I am also finding similar issues in Motion. The graphics look clean and GREAT in motion and
the .mov I export, but after it goes into FCP and I render it, less that clean like AE.
I even put on “Motion blur” in the render settings in Motion before rendering-takes forever to
render. After waiting a long time, the quality was only slightly better.
Thanks,

Thanks Mark. Must have just did some things out of order. I worked on the “Eliot Spencer” tutorial
today and the bounding box was there and worked like usual.
