Encore DVD will not play in a computer blu-ray drive
Hello! Burned my first Blu-ray (weddings for over 10 years) and it plays fine in a set top box you would
have on your home theatre. BUT my most recent client has now tried 4 laptops with no success in
playing. Any thoughts? Did I miss a check box while using Encore that allows it to play in computers?
This could really be bad going forward if I can’t get this to work. Used a MacBook Pro 1 year old,
and used the proper Compressor settings mpeg2 and Ac-3 for importing into Encore.

Do the customer’s laptops have Blu-ray drives installed and, if so, is there a software Blu-ray player installed?
If your Blu-ray disc plays in a set top player, you are good to go. There is no option in Encore to make a disc be computer-compatible.

Thanks Bill, I actually have texted my client that exact question of “do your laptops have blu-ray drives installed in them? I never tried to play my authored blu ray in one becuase neither my family members
or my work (and I work in broadcast television) have blu-ray anything!

Thanks Eric, knew that one, I am betting they might be trying to play this on a standard dvd drive. And
I told the client when I delivered the dvds to them that these were blu-ray dics.
