Hey Marc, I did, in fact I dragged the footage to the comp button in order to make sure the frame rate would be the same as the footage. When trying to figure out this I tweaked it manually and tried 24, 23.976 and 30, along with different pixel aspect ratios, the jump is still there.

I guess I forgot to explain that part. I did some animation on top of the files, supers, arrows that move around, I tracked some elements, that sort of stuff. That’s why I used AE.
They are low res and I’m fully aware that I cannot expect miracles from them, but the original footage (the low res files I got from the website) play fine in Quicktime and the website’s preview window, it’s only when I import them in AE that they get corrupted.
I don’t have Final Cut Suite, more of a Premiere guy myself, I have Adobe Media Encoder though, I can give that one a try.
Thanks for the suggestion and if after this new info you can think of something else messing up my files please let me know.

Use the offset path command, Object>Path>Offset path.
You can assign a shortcut to it, so you don’t have to go the menu each time. -
Yes, you need to select the paths you want to modify with the white arrow.

Since illustrator is vector based and not pixel based, you can’t have soft edges on any tool, however you can either use a blend mode or past your illustrator content on a photoshop document as a smart object, that way you can still keep vector features and go back to illustrator as needed, but can hide the contents using masks with soft edges.

That’s not a blurry image, but a pixelated one. Have you tried a link to a pdf document instead? It’s low in size and will be a lot crispier.
Also, how did you reduce the size of your original image?

Sorry, I gave you a wrong answer before The correct option is command-shift B, show/hide bounding box.

It’s a preference setting, I think show preview bounds or handles, something like that.

You can do what you just figured out, but a faster method is to enable auto select layer, that way you can click direclty over the object you want to select without having to look for it in the layers panel, if you also enable show transform controls you can resize tthem without having to invoke the transform command, so there’s another time saver.
By scaling down and up smart objects you are not losing resolution AS LONG as you don’t go beyond the original size of the image.

It’d be faster to wtith either After Effects or Photoshop, you can open a quicktime file natively in it, no need to export as an image sequence.
