also, there’s a nice article over on kenstone.net. Look for something like “Why does my type look so crappy?” or similar.

When you place a .motn file in the timeline of FCP, FCP send the file back to Motion, one frame at a time, and Motion sends it back. That’s really intensive and only works well with supercharged machines running certain cards. So, unless you render out of Motion, which Apple calls “export” even though every other motion graphics application in the universe calls it a render, FCP has to manage the render. That means your render settings in FCP must be set to Best. And most of us miss that little detail.
If you export from Motion, the clip will probably be in the Animation codec and will need to be scaled and rendered to DV anyway so you gan little except having the clean version out of Motion.

[Bartek Skorupa] “5. Set a keyframe to the property: “Source text” at the beginning of your animation, and another one somewhere in the middle. Write the other text in the same layer. “
Nice work, Bartek, thanks for the contribution to the thread. Setting keyframes for Source Text is something I did not think of. In fact, I don’t think I knew you could do that. Gotta try it!

Yar, but you’re going to need to determine what other effects crash AE. You’ve got some testing to do before you can start debugging.

I’ve looked over your clip again.
I think you can use Motion Tracker (I have not opened Mocha yet, no time to learn new toys) and solve some really interesting automatic settings. You can track the wall to simulate a handheld camera’s movement imparted onto a snow layer. but you want several layers for the camera to pass through, sort of.Still, the illusion goes all to heck without accumulation on their clothing.

There are two approaches: You just work as normal with your display rotated or you explore the digital signage industry.bogiesan

does it need to be 3D with dimensional dimples? Anne’s advice is dead-on for creating a totally convincing golf ball.

Did this with Foam and used a movie as the source. the move was two bills, front and back, applied to two CC Cylinders.
Fabulous illusion.
Also done it to simulate falling leaves.bogiesan

would help tremendously if you’d include the camera or deck information.
I’ll bet it’s a Canon.
Separate the audio from the video tracks. Mark the end of the video. Mark the end of the audio. Trim the audio to the outpoint. Get info on the video, note the exact length of the clip.
Use speed adjust on the audio track to change it to exactly that same length. Render. Relink the tracks or group them into a new sequence and export them as a self contained movie.bogiesan
