Hhaving book sis meaningless if you don’t take the time to go through the material. Most people don’t. It takes a solid 40 hours to slog through the entire tutorial regime in the Advanced Editing FCP 6 book.

You also want two or three Motion books.

Nope. The question comes up about ten times a year and Adobe’s response is usually to submit a product enhancement request on the AE site at adobe.com.

If you search for similar terms here on the cow, you should find an expression that mimics, sort of, the view of the custom view camera. The problem, IIRC, is that the custom view uses a completely different perspective processing that is not based a optical algorithm; you’re not really looking through a lens. Any real camera requires a lens.

the question that goes unasked is, “Why do you think you need to reinstall QT?” The answer to that usually leads us to different solutions.

How are you controlling the animation? Using text animators or hard-coding it?

In the olden days, we’d create a long tall vertical list of words in AI/PS/AE and, using hold keyframes, change the Y coordinates of the list so the effect was a random selection of glyphs. Since they were individual words, the typography was easily perfected on each one.
