You have shot under fluorescent or high pressure luminaires that are being driven by power mains that are different from your frame rate. This happens when PAL people come to the States or you try to shoot a fast shutter speed that does not allow time for the flickering light source to be both on and off states for each open shutter.
Color Stabilization is your only hope besides learning how to use your equipment properly (hard lessons) and reshooting.

Try precomping and using the CC Cylinder. You will need a huge radius and plenty of time to experiment. You might even be able to use CC Sphere.
Great fun but these filters require are bit difficult to grasp.

Totally different results.
Motion Bur in Motion is a shutter speed simulation. if something is moving, physically or geometrically, the open shutter will smear the move.Motion blur in FCP is a frame sampling and blending algorithm. Looks like anything BUT “motion blur.”
You need to explore them throughly to decide which you really want to use.

You have to isolate the object. You have to shoot the board as a clean plate. You have to fill the board with animated text. You have to move the eraser in time with the writing disappearing. You have to direct your talent to react to stuff that isn’t really there.

We’re going to waste a lot of time translating.Stop motion animation in FCP has been a popular topic for years, there are hundreds of searchable threads and many tutorials on the Net. Techniques, workflows, setups, shooting strategies, everything has been invented many dozens of times but perfected only a few times. FCP will create 24fps sequences but that’s not a good idea unless you know your delivery will be 24fps.
Creating animation at 24fps has not been an efficient production workflow for many decades. The economics of on-two shooting become immediately apparent if you do the research.

the algorithms for “motion blur” are compeltely different in the two applications. I’ve never understood how FCP calls that junk “motion blur” since it samples frames of the source video as well as movement. Motion, however, uses a more conventional approach that applies the illusion of an open shutter to create movement blur.
If you are processing Motion’s motion blur with FCP’s motion blur, you are going to see some screwy results. Pick one or apply them both if you know what the end result is supposed to be.

Sorry, I’ve never used Toast to do anything except burn video CDs and that was about four versions ago.
The ability to embed a clickable hotspot is built into QT Pro (see Event Stream, an ancient and ignored technology).

Perfect illustration why FCP is no good for live gigs. I would never even consider doing this if there’s money involved.
You leave a few unresolved issues that you are apparently satisfied to hang on FCP that do not seem to be reasonable. A boost in gain during live capture has to be a hardware issue. Some inputs that are not Firewire can be adjusted but if you’re coming in as FW, the file you get in FCP is the file you were sent along the wire. Capturing an uncontrolled device is always without timecode, no problem there except with your expectations, which were wrong.
Both of these could have easily been figured out and dealt with during a setup and test.And what’s a PPU? Regional colloquialism?
