Writing on the screen is never that simple. You must change some of the keyframes to holds to simulate pen lifts between words and to dot the Is or cross the Ts.

You mean you are using the Generate>Vegas filter?
Or are you using a preset or project from someone called “Vegas Light”?

Vegas can run into odd issues if you have not carefully designed the contours it attempts to sample.I’d suggest your artwork for the contours is at fault. Try another file, but, no, I have never encountered that error.

“Free memory” in as AE error is completely misleading, heck, ALL AE errors are nonsense.

You’ve got to tell us on what monitor/display you’re viewing the sequence.
8-bit compressed is a color space setting, the frame rate is not part of that setting.

If you just went to SD MPEG2 via DVDSP, your FCP sequence has been scaled way down to fit the standard definition screen size. All of those big still images are suffering from dramatic compression and any small bits that are 5, 3, or 1 pixels in size are probably strobing between interlaced fields.

almost impossible in Motion, you need After Effects.

but just google “light writing” and you will find at least a couple of good tutorials.

LiveType is a text animation creation tool.
Motion is a compositor.
You will create your text animation effects in Livetype and export it or render it as a movie.
You’ll bring this movie into Motion along with your shot of the table. Assuming the shot of the table is static, you can use Motion’s 3d system to map the Livetype movie onto the edge fo the table. If the shot of the table is moving, you wikll need motion tracking to pin the LT movie to the moving table.

I would never hire a vide guy to design an office building. I’d hire and architect. You shodl hire a video guy.
