Dunno for sure but I refer most folks to google for a long afternoon spent cruising the DIGITAL SIGNAGE world. Good luck. Hope you get better advice.

[Nadaav Zohar] “As usual, I’m using a tweaked version of the “shatter” effect to do the spinning motion. “
You must bring the custom shatter Map into Shatter in order to be able to extrude the piece. You do not not indicate you have done that properly.

November 10, 2008 at 9:52 pm in reply to: Looking for a 3D Book Opening & Turn Page FX for FCPNeither Motion nor FCP will create a 3d object that can actually bend in 3d space like a sheet of paper. You have page turn effects in Motion and FCP that are limited to their flat 2d aspects.

Guys,
I don’t have metrics but when I open up Activity Monitor and submit a Compressor job using my local cluster of four Intel Processors all four CPUs light up like crazy. Looks to me like Flip4Mac is simply being used by Compressor and doesn’t affect the ability of Qmaster to distribute the load.bogiesan

“best possible” is almost meaningless. What’s your intended workflow and release medium? Capturing and rendering the raw pixels off of a 30″ Cinema display if you’re releasing on 320×240 wmv is silly.

Who’s Ken Burns?
Is joke.
Most such work is done manually to retain all creative control. Just my opinion and I hope you find something useful but I shoudl think ’tis a waste of money to have After Effects employ a self-animating plugin. That’s what iMovie is for although, of course, it doesn’t have a 3D space.

Same question has shown up over on apple.com.
Mark Spencer has suggested a replicator with a still image of a brick. Interesting idea.bogiesan

What is Muster? It’s not an Adobe product and it’s not Nitro. Best to talk to the mfr of this Muster thingy. Most network rendering handlers require that you have full seats for all third party plugins, though. That’s a deal killer.
Network rendering with the AE Render Engine is completely explained in the documentation that comes with AE.
If you drop by the adobe.com site and search for rnedering engine and network rendering you will find lots of posts. You can ignore ay of my comments that show up in any of them.

The Options for Particle World are where all of the magic is hidden. The documentation is woefully inadequate on explaining what they are and how they work. I’d be completely lost with them if I had not kept all of my ancient Studio Effects and Final Effects VHS tapes form Total Training.
There used to be a more deeply hidden set of hidden options that displayed gobs of weirdly geek numbers on the screen, stuff like how many pixels are in existence.

[Carlos Cidre] ” did my thing and at the time of exporting i checked field rendering and selected lower. exported with no compression etc. when i brought it in to final cut to lay it on my sequence, final cut had to render the clip for my timeline. i must have done something wrong because technically final cut should not have to render the clip i brought in from after effects. “
You did not specify what your sequence settings were in FCP. You did not precisely match the AE clip to the sequence. But rendering out of AE to “NTSC” is not specific enough. You must select a codec and that had to be the same codec as your FCP timeline
“NTSC” isn’t really the issue, neither is the bit depth. NTSC is a set of specifications for the broadcasters, not for production resources. You can give a broadcaster any format.bogiesan
