I think the real reason they did this is because there is no
“dollar store” for EOL software. You have to put it in regular retail and sell it at full price.🙂

This looks fairly easy.
You take your selected video on a base layer where you apply a key and doutone and video feedback type effect. Then the same video is running “live” in the little window on the corner.
the video underneath looks blown up too. I wouldn’t get to fancy with this. I’d get dirty. That looks like a matte key and video feedback shot off a preview montiro probably.

Aldo try to male sure in fcp x that your viwer window is set to Two fields. You can chiose that in The top tight corner of The viewer window.

anything up to about four cams is really easy in FCP X by using the syncronize feature and multiple tracks.
I suspect the “new” multicam will be pretty powerful with 64 bit processing.

It’s a feature not a bug. 🙂
I like this because it’s easy to associate the audio with the video that is in sync. BEFORE everything would stack above and below the AUDIO VIDEO LINE. Now the audio stays associated to the picture making it easy to find and adjust.
I would like to see and option to “display as legacy” though as a view mode, where FCP X timeline preset could just place things in a traditional way.
This might be easier for subtitling and versioning and other things, but compound clips are going to do that in a very powerful way as well.

Secondary stroylines are handy when you want to change the duration of the shots above your primary storyline or ive you make modifiations of time to your primary storyline.
They are also nice for lining up titles over multiple shots, etc. or if you want to move sections of Brol around.
Once you start using them they are great. It’s like being able to picture lock sections of the edit that you like and want to move around in a group. It becomes one object instead of twelve shots.
Compund clips are cool this way too because you can name them.
Its such a custom way to work.
