  • I was using an older computer with Vegas 7 and 9 on it (32bit). The Quicktime files worked in 7, but not 9??? The important thing is that the Quicktime files do work on my main editing computer where I’m running Vegas 10.

    Thanks for you help 🙂

    Thanks

  • Mike,
Straight (unmatted) worked great–thanks so much.

Another question maybe you can help me with–the clips I’m downloading from Videoblocks are downloaded as Quicktime files. Some show up properly in Vegas and some are just black. They do play in the Quicktime viewer. Any idea why some of the clips are black?

    Thanks

  • Dave–the Panasonic HMC40 interests me. From my original post above, in your estimation does that camera fit the bill for what I’m looking for?

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the info John. Since the Canopus ADVC110 does not have RGB outputs I guess I could try the S-video and see what happens.

Nigel, 95% of my video is hand held (no tripod used). Can the Libec be mounted on the camera or is it a tripod mount only?

    Thanks

Thanks for the info James I really appreciate it. If you do the firmware update I would really like to know how much it helps the camera, especially the zoom. In shooting sports I’m constantly using the zoom and can’t imagine having a bad working zoom function. If possible please post here or email me at dpetto@verizon.net and let me know how the firmware update works for you.

    Thanks

James–other than the zoom problem, how do you like the camera?

Nigel–Thanks for the ino, I’ll look into that.

Thanks Steve—It seemed that my SD video capture wasn’t as sharp as normal. I’ve been looking at HD for so long that I think it’s playing tricks on my mind when I’m working with SD.

    Thanks
