Thanks much for the information John and Scott. I figured that the larger WAV files would be better than the MP3, but just wasn’t sure. You have answered my question and I appreciate your time.

    Thanks

Thanks for the info Stephen. Here is a screenshot of what Mediafinder came up with. Is it telling me that it’s “CABAC”? Any suggestions?

    Thanks

“Yes, has to be an HD Camcorder….”

    That’s what I was suspecting.

    Thanks Steve & Mike!

  • Thank you for the information Aleksey. I tried to save the profile as you suggested, but it keeps telling me “An unknown error occurred trying to save the video profile” I’m not sure what’s up with that 🙁

I will look into Vegasaur per your suggestions.

Regarding working with these HD files, since I’m rendering for DVD, in addition to changing the field order from “None (progressive scan)” to “Lower Field” should I also change the Pixel aspect ratio from square to “1.2121 (NTSC DV Widescreen)?

    Thanks

  • I do a lot of football video so I deal with LOTS of media. Ultimate S Pro would be paid off in no time. I will explore the purchase.

    Thanks again for your input.

  • Hi John, per your suggestion I was able to change the properties of the media in the “Project Media”. However I tried to select all media at once and change them all at the same time with no luck. I seems that even if the media is highlighted only the media that is touched first or last by the cursor is the one that is effected. Either way I like that method better than changing it on the timeline.
    Thanks!

  • Steve–Even if my project properties are set to Lower Field First, when I check the properties of the events on the timeline they are set at None (progressive scan).

    Thanks

  • My question –is this something that I need to be doing to these clips/events? Is changing the field order a logical thing to do to render this footage to DVD (to make it look good)? I’ve done this because it works, but am I doing something wrong with Vegas setting/properties that is causing me to have to do this in the first place?

    Thanks
