Just put that event on another track.
Ok I can deal with that.

What about: “Where can one go (tutorials, newsletters etc.) to learn some BASIC audio adjustment information for Vegas?”

    Thanks

Regarding defragmenting–I’ve heard that there are better utilities out there than the one that windows uses. Can anyone recommend one?

    Thanks Edward,

Your answer about my boot drive being bigger than secondary drive was what I was afraid I would hear. The next time my machine is in need of some internal work I will have them switch the drives. Unfortunatly that type of work is out of my league. I will in the meantime start rendering to the C drive.

Thanks Jeremy, Have a great day.

  • For what it’s worth, since I started saving almost all my images as .png files Vegas has been running much faster with less hangups and slow downs.

I had been running with the preview set at Best (auto). I did some tinkering this past weekend and found out that going to one of the other previews (like “Preview Auto’) did in fact help.

    Thanks for your input.

Since this is all pretty new to me I just want to be sure–Using a Canopus ADVC110 in place of a camera I will be able to view my timeline on an external television or monitor.
    Thanks for all your help.

If you don’t want to use a camera in the “camera/convertor/deck” link of this chain, what is the most ecconmical way to go? Are there other things out that are cheaper than something like a “Canopus ADVC110”?

Thanks for the help all you Creative Cow’ers. You have given me some things to go by & try. I wont say I’m out of the dark yet, but I’m getting closer to the light.
Happy New Year to you all.
