Thank you very much Mike. I’m still getting used to Vegas 9 (been using 7). I don’t think i care for this feature either! Have a great day.

    Thanks

Was it possibly imported into DVD Achitect as a 12:36 file at one time, then changed to a longer file (15 min)? If so, you need to extend the end of video on the time line in DVDA.

    Thanks

No, the tapes are always new. I may have solved the issue by making the preview window smaller (I read that in a couple of other posts). I was able to capture 2 tapes with no freezing. Why would the size of the preview window affect this?

    Thanks

Hey David, I experienced the same exact thing that you did with the preview working on 9a, but all kinds of text problems, then no text problems in 9b, but no preview either. I like your re-release theory where 9b is actually 9!!! I hope this get’s fixed because it’s a waste of money to have a software upgrade that can’t be used.

    Thanks

I disabled the video preview to the external monitor in Vegas 7 and it still locks up in Vegas 9b. The preview settings in Vegas 9 are the same as those I have in Vegas 7. I imported one of the same avi files that are in the Vegas 9b build into Vegas 7 and the preview works just fine. Any more thoughts? This really stinks.

    Thanks

Yes version 7 works fine. I will try your suggestion and unselect the external monitoring from Vegas 7. Thanks for your suggestions and I will let you know if this change has any effect.

    Thanks

Before I answer all those questions let me tell you that on the same computer I do not have thgis problem at all using Vegas 7. Does that help?

    Thanks

  • Hi Tom, Sony is well aware of these issues. I myself have sent two reports to Sony and they have responded to both. I think that my two reports are just a drop in the bucket as to how many reports Sony has been getting. They really messed this 9a version up good, hopefully they will fix these issues a.s.a.p. I’m back to running 9 with no upgrade. I can’t use my external monitor much at all, but at least the type doesn’t dissapear!

    Thanks
    Dave P.
