March 8, 2014 at 4:35 am in reply to: optimal way to plug in Tbolt peripherals into new MacPro?After lots of testing I ended up putting both my monitors on one bus. However the lower of the two bus connectors is primary. So I put my main monitor on the lower connector and my second monitor above it on the same bus. I have my Pegasus raid on it’s own bus and the AJA XT thunderbolt on it own bus. I tried both the BM Mini Monitor & the AJA T-Tap and couldn’t get audio to sync unless they both were set to use the same output. In my case that was HDMI. Once I started using the AJA IO XT thunderbolt all the sync problems cleared up!

make sure the audio rates are the same. 44.1 or 48k FCP X won’t sync mixed audio rates.

I look forward to hearing your experiences when you get your new Mac Pro. It’s like being on an island right now with very little input on these new cans.

I’m having some playback issues on the new MacPro trash can. Short spinning beach balls when you hit the space bar from 10 to 30 second pauses. This is with a TB2 Pegasus R6 raid.

I have the BM Mini Monitor and am having major playback problems on the new Mac Pro with a Pegasus T2 Raid. This may not help you but I thought I’d chime in.

We had the same problem. Ended up having Resolve cut the master file with scene detection.

FWIW it seems that 10.1 could care less if you modify a file. I’ve been rerendering over the same file with AE and it just magically relinks. If the new file is longer, I can drag it out longer. Wonderful. Normal.Same here, just finished a grading in DaVinci Resolve and when I go back to Resolve and regrade a shot it relinks in 10.1.1 no problem.
