a fellow editor called me into his bay in regards to a Modified file showing up red in his timeline. He has no idea how that clip was changed. Anyone else see this before. Any idea why the clip became modified. I’m guessing someone else has some how fudged it over or Xsan.

    curious.

Did anyone use the file in AE or Premiere? Just opening the file in those apps alter them. There is a setting in there about writing xmp data in AE/Premiere that needs to be off.

FWIW it seems that 10.1 could care less if you modify a file. I’ve been rerendering over the same file with AE and it just magically relinks. If the new file is longer, I can drag it out longer. Wonderful. Normal.

Same here, just finished a grading in DaVinci Resolve and when I go back to Resolve and regrade a shot it relinks in 10.1.1 no problem.
